PSG donates cash and material worth more than a crore

The faculty and staff members of PSG Institutions have donated Rs. 1 crore to the Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund to help rain-affected victims of Tamil Nadu. In addition, PSG Hospitals has deputed 25 doctors and 15 paramedical staff to Chennai, and also donated medicines worth Rs. 5 lakh.

The doctors will assist the medical team of the Health Department of the Government, a release said.

PSG and Sons’ Charities has also arranged for distribution of 1,000 garments, 6,000 blankets and 6,000 dhotis worth Rs.25 lakh to the people of Cuddalore district through its Alumni Association.

A students’ team led by Professor Arasu of PSG Polytechnic College left today with relief materials and medicines, it said. PSG CAS alumni have already been distributing 5,000 packets of food each day in Chennai for the last few days.

All the alumni associations of PSG Institutions are collecting material along with students and faculty. A few professional associations have also joined hands with PSG Institutions in contributing to the relief.
