Rain water enters houses, factories, damages goods

Rain waters entered into 100 houses in nearby Tirupur, which experienced heavy rains since midnight yesterday.The city recorded eight mm rain, which started lashing around 1 a.m. and continued till morning, police said.
Rain water gushed into nearly 150 houses in low lying areas, throwing normal life out of gear.
Meanwhile, lakhs of T-shirts and vests stored in factories and outlets in SIPCOT industrial park were also damaged due to the rain, they said.
Protesting against the negligence of the Administration, people came to the streets
and staged demonstrations.
