In order to create awareness on the need to restore and rejuvenate rivers that flow in India, Isha Foundation founder Jaggi Vasudev is driving through 16 states and 32 cities from here to Haridwar via Kanyakumari on September three.

The Rally for Rivers will culminate on October two at Delhi and Jaggi will present a policy recommendation to the Govenmnent, which includes well laid out technical and economic strategy for afforestation along the rivers on either side, a foundation release said today.

Being one of the efforts to restore and rejuvenate the rivers, Jaggi would also be meeting the Chief Ministers of all the 16 States during his journey, and would be handing over his recommendations.

Every human, who consumes water, should contribute and participate in the revival of the water bodies in our country and many influencers from all fields including sports, cinema along with students, corporate institutions and general public have come forward to extend their support to this campaign.

In an effort to create awareness among the people, volunteers at Isha Yoga Centre campaigned by forming a human chain from the 112ft Adi Yogi statue to Sarpa Vasal, the entry point of the centre today by holding creative and artistic placards and through skits depicting the current state of our Indian rivers.
