A team of environmentalists rescued a three-and-half foot long sand boa from an industrial shed in Papanaickenpalayam today.
The workers of the factory were cleaning up the factory premises this morning when they found the sand boa, lying coiled in a corner. They immediately informed an environmentalist who was known in the area for catching snakes.
The environmentalist and his team caught the dark maroon coloured sand boa, weighing two kilos, and safely handed it over to the forest department.
