Seminar to celebrate Kalam’s birth anniversary

VLB Janakiammal Arts and Science College organised a special seminar on Wednesday to celebrate the birth anniversary of former President APJ Abdul Kalam, which falls on October 15.

According to a release from the college, in a special seminar, organised by the Grantha Club, students and teachers read poems by Kalam.

The students also discussed his autobiography and a debate was conducted on the various topics that were discussed by the late scientist in his books.

The seminar was headed by the Librarian of Coimbatore Shankar.

Simultaneously, another reading was conducted in Kuniyamuthur Library premises, where students recited poems.
The reading session was organised by the Lok Seva coordinator G Sunil Joghee.
