Ooty: DMK working president and opposition leader M K Stalin is confident that the Madras High Court will deliver a “good” verdict that would send the AIADMK government packing.

“October 4 will be the doomsday for the Edappadi Palaniswami government in the state. A good verdict is expected from the HC with regard to disqualification of 18 AIADMK MLAs,” Stalin said.

Adressing the party worker’s meeting here on Sunday, he further said people of Tamil Nadu would get relief on that day from the government which is in power without majority support.

“The people of the state are more angry towards DMK than AIADMK for having not dethroned the Edappadi government. But, we do not want to capture power through the backdoor,” he said.

Coming down heavily on the government, he said that it neglected various issues confronting the state, such as Neduvasal and Kathiramangalam, where people have been fighting against hydrocarbon and methane projects for long, suicide of over 200 farmers and spread of fever, particularly dengue.

The DMK leader sought a CBI inquiry into the death of former chief minister, Jayalalithaa as, he said, one man commission would not not be in a position to summon London doctor Pele or those from AIIMS.

Even after Jayalalithaa’s death, her soul is not spared, he said, adding the MLAs and ministers had been frequent ing her memorial to take vow.

Stalin also said that mystery still continued on the murder of a security guard in Jayalalithaa’s Kodanadu bungalow.
