Telangana invites NIFT TEA to establish training centre in Warangal textile park

NIFT TEA Skill Development Centre in Tirupur has been invited to set up a Training Centre in the proposed Kakinada Textile park in Warangal to be established by Telangana Government.

The invitation was extended to Tirupur Exporters’ Association (TEA) president, Raja M Shanmugham by Telangana minister for Industry and IT, K T Rama Rao, during their meeting at Textiles India 2017 Fair being held in Gandhinagar.

During the discussion Raja Shanmugham explained about the need to impart skill training to the youths in the textile park, a TEA release said today.

Shanugham said that NIFT TEA College of Knitwear Fashion in Tirupur was ready to extend the service to the workers to be recruited in the park, for which. Rao asked TEA to set up a training Centre in Warangal, it said.

Stating that TEA has invited Rao to attend as the chief guest in Textile Research Conclave planned in the next two months, Raja M Shanmugam said that the minister has promised to participate along with top officials for the conclave.

Infrastructure Leasing and Financial Services (IL and FS) MD and CEO, R C M Reddy was present during the discussion, it said.
