Three die of dengue in City

After gap of a week, three dengue deaths were reported in the city today.

According to Government Hospital sources, nine-year-old Sandhya of Athupollachi died of dengue and related complications in the wee hours after undergoing treatment for three days.

Similarly, Karuppasamy, 40, of Perumanallur in Tirupur district died past midnight and had been under treatment for three days.

Swathi, 26, from Bihar died of dengue in a private hospital in the city, police said.

Sources said 182 people with different types of fever and 48 dengue patients were undergoing treatment in the Government Hospital.
