Top functionaries of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), including Sarsanghachalak Mohan Bhagawat, have started arriving for the annual meeting of the Akhila Bharathiya Pratinidhi Sabha scheduled to begin here from March 19.
Bhagawat has arrived last night and went to the sabha venue at Amrita University, where he will be joined by general secretary Suresh Bhaiyyaji Joshi and four joint general secretaries Dattatreya Hosabale, Krishna Gopal, Suresh Soni and Bhaigaih by tonight, according to RSS officials.
The elected representatives of RSS and its state leaders will be meeting for three days to chalk out the organisation’s strategy. The outcome of the discussions will be put in the form of resolutions for ratification at the sabha to be attended by 1,500 members, they said.
The top leaders will hold discussions with senior RSS office-bearers from the different parts of the country on March 18.
The proceedings of three-day Pratinidhi Sabha, being held for the first time in Tamil Nadu in its 92-year history, will be jointly chaired by Bhagawath and Joshi.
BJP president Amit Shah and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari would be among top party leaders expected to participate at the meeting on the last day, the sources added.
