Trust named after Kalam to boost nanoscience research

A former employee of Bharatiar University has started a new educational trust in the name of the former President of India, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.

The trust, started by N. Manoharan, with a contribution of Rs.1 lakh, will award research scholarship to one student each year, in the field of nanoscience. According to the press release from the university, the scholarship will be given on October 15, Kalam’s birthday.

The student will be selected on the basis of academic merits.
