Two college students killed in road accident

Two engineering students were killed when their motorcycle was hit by a tanker lorry at Navakkarai.
The victims were identified as Manivelan (17) of Thirumangalam and Balashanmugam (18) of Sivakasi. They were doing their first year engineering at a private college in Madurai.
Both were heading towards Coimbatore when the lorry, which was on its way to Kerala, collided with their motorcycle, killing them on the spot.
