Expressing displeasure on the way he is being treated of late by O Paneerselvam camp, AIADMK (Puratchithalaivi Amma) MLA, V C Arukutty is contemplating to switch the loyality to other faction AIADMK (Amma).

Arukutty was the first MLA, representing Koundampalayam constituency here, to come out openly in support of Paneerselvam, when majority of the MLAs in the district were camping at Koovathur.

His sudden outburst came after he was not invited for a groundbreaking ceremony today to erect a pandal in the city for a function where Paneerselvam is expected to meet his supporters in two days.

Talking to reporters, Arukutty said that since he was not invited for the function, he had boycotted the ceremony. Moreover, of late he was not not taken into confidence by the party any more and there was no point in continuing in expressing loyalty to them in such a situation, he said.

Stating that he has not taken any decision to quit the faction, Arukutty said that a final call would be made after talking to the voters of his constituency, which has more than four lakh in number, who are important to him.

There were reports that some MLAs were planning to ditch Paneerselvam and join chief minister, Edapadi Palanisamy, during a function to celebrate the100th Anniversary of AIADMK founder, M G Ramachandran near Tirupur tomorrow.
