Woman bank employee caught stealing from ATM cards

A woman employee of a private bank here was arrested for withdrawing money from ATM accounts of customers with their cards and PIN numbers. The theft had been going on for a while.
The bank was first alerted of the wrongdoing when customers complained to the bank in Peelamedu that money was withdrawn from their accounts. Following the complaint, the bank referred the case to the police. After examining the security footage of the bank, the police arrested Vennila, an employee of the bank, and took her for interrogation.
Vennila confessed that she had withdrawn close to Rs.13,000 with the new ATM cards and PIN numbers. She was sent to the central prison.
