Workers rescued from landslide spot

Seven workers, who were trapped in a landslide in Kandal, were rescued on Saturday.
The workers were involved in digging work for constructing a revetment, when the loose land fell on them suddenly, police said.
Though the public tried to pull them out of the debris, service of Fire and Rescue personnel and police was sought. All the seven workers were rescued. Two workers – Senthil and Ravi – who sustained injuries on their legs were admitted to the Government Hospital here.
