UP Board exams 2019 to start from February 7 and will end in 16 days, says Deputy CM

Uttar Pradesh Board Exams 2019 will be started from February 7 for both class 10 and class 12 students. The exams will be concluded in 16 days this year.

According to ANI, this has been shared by Dinesh Sharma, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister. However, no official announcement has been made by the minister.

It is expected that the state government would keep a strict check on exam practices in 2019 as well.

UTTAR PRADESH BOARD EXAMS

UP board exams have always been in the news for its delay in exam schedules and cheating cases in the past.

According to the reports, every year, various cheating cases come up and defame the board. Last year, 1,862 students were caught cheating.

HIDDEN CURRENCY NOTES TO GET PASSED IN THE EXAMS

In 2018, the UP government had taken several precautionary measures to check unfair practices during the board exams. Still, this year students ended up in using various cheating methods and some of them attached the currency notes inside their sheets to get passed.

This year, the exams were started on February 6 for both class 10 and class 12.

More than 29 lakh students had appeared for the class 12 board exams and almost 36 lakh students appeared for the class 10 board exams this year, as per an NDTV report.

ABOUT UP BOARD

The Board of High School and Intermediate Education Uttar Pradesh is the Uttar Pradesh state government administered autonomous examining authority for the class 10 examination (or secondary school level examination) and class 12 examination (or inter-college level examination) of Uttar Pradesh, India.

The board was set up in the year 1921 at Allahabad by an act of United Provinces Legislative Council and conducted its first examination in 1923.
