Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor is reprising the role done by Vijay Deverakonda in the Hindi remake of the hit Telugu movie Arjun Reddy. The teaser of the Hindi remake, Kabir Singh was released some time ago and has garnered the attention of the film buffs. This film is scheduled for release on June 21st.

Recently, Shahid Kapoor and the Baahubali star Prabhas got to meet and seem to have shared a good rapport. Reports quote Shahid Kapoor as saying about this meeting: “I spoke to Prabhas and he was very kind. He is Mahendra Baahubali for us so, it was really cool and encouraging to get such kind words from him because the Hindi audience might not know that Arjun Reddy is an iconic Telugu film and it received a lot of love from the audience.”

Kabir Singh is being directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who had directed Arjun Reddy. The shooting of this film happened in various cities including Mumbai, Delhi and Mussoorie, we hear. The film is bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar, Murad Khetani, Krishan Kumar and Ashwin Varde under the banners T-Series and Cine1 Studios. Kiara Advani has been roped in to play the female lead in Kabir Singh. Talking about his experience working on the film, Shahid later told IANS, “I am having a great time. I think Kabir Singh is very special and Arjun Reddy was amazing. As such it’s very stressful making the remake, especially when it has been loved so much.”

On the other hand, Prabhas is busy with Saaho, the shooting of which is reaching the final stages. This magnum opus, made on a high budget, stars Shraddha Kapoor as the female lead. Saaho is being directed by Sujeeth and produced under the banner UV Creations.
