KOCHI: An alert lady conductor of a State-run KSRTC bus chased and nabbed two chain snatchers, who suspiciously alighted from the bus immediately after boarding.

According to sources, the conductor, P.R. Suja, became suspicious when the two passengers – Kavita and Saras (both from Tamil Nadu) – informed her that they wanted to get down immediately after boarding the bus near General Hospital. The bus was on its way to Kolathu Jetty from Alappuzha.

After the duo got down from the bus at Chandanakavu, a passenger, identified as Saraswathi, raised an alarm that her 3.5 sovereign chain was missing. Immediately Suja got down from the bus and chased the Kavita and Saras and nabbed them and handed over them to the police. The chain was recovered from them.
