KOTTAYAM: Senior CPI-M leader and Power Minister M.M. Mani on Monday said that police should not become pawns in the hands of politicians.
He was speaking at a function organised by the Thiruvananthapuram District Police Association. “IPS officials should learn to say no to politicians. They should not oblige when they (politicians) order them to foist false cases against their rivals,” the Minister said.
Police personnel are not working according to their conscience, he added.
