Mistaking the gun to be a toy, boy shoots his mom in a freak accident

Kochi: In a freak incident, a woman died after being shot by her minor son near Kozhikkode.
According to police the son found the gun from a paddy field and was inspecting it when he pressed the trigger inadvertently at Chakkittapara.
The boy mistook it to a toy gun and pressed the trigger killing his mother Pallikkamkkandi Shyji, 40 on Saturday night.
Police has registered a case and has started an investigation.
