SC to hear Jacob Thomas’ plea next Monday

KOTTAYAM: The Supreme Court on Monday refused to hear a petition filed by suspended police officer Jacob Thomas and posted it for next Monday. It said there was no circumstances to consider his petition on priority basis.

The court also asked whether the Kerala High Court would send Jacob Thomas to jail before Monday and without following the procedure.

The former DGP had approached the apex court pleading to quash the contempt of court case against him.

In his petition he said that his allegations against judges of Kerala High Court were not fabricated and that he had mentioned facts in the complaint he had filed with the Central Vigilance Commission.

The Kerala High Court initiated suo motu contempt proceedings against the senior police officer for alleged remarks against Justice P. Ubaid and Justice Abraham Mathew.
