Anti-TASMAC protest: 100 VCK members held

More than 100 members of Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) were arrested when they staged a demonstration against the opening of a TASMAC outlet at Kalampuzha in Gudalur.

The members, led by the party’s District Secretary K. Sahadevan, raised slogans and tried to lock the outlet. When police tried to intervene there was a clash between the party members and the police personnel. Following this more than 100 party members were arrested.
