Snake catchers risk their life for Rs 150 !

The snake catchers in Coimbatore catch a snake for as less as Rs.150. While their American counterparts are well equipped with tools and protective gear, our snake catchers make-do with bare hands and BAG THEM INTO THEIR FOLDED LUNGIS !! At least 35 snake catchers die annually in Coimbatore because of snake bites. Shouldn’t the forest department equip them with protective gears ???
