Virat Kohli has shown signs of regaining full fitness as the India skipper, who practised at BKC complex on Wednesday, turned up at the Western Railways Ground on Thursday. A report in Times of India suggests that he was again accompanied by Sanjay Bangar, team India’s assistant coach, to the Railways ground where both stayed for an hour.

Kohli also kicked off his full-fledged routine on Thursday, the report adds.He suffered a neck injury during the 51st game of IPL when he dived to take a catch. The impact of the dive wasn’t felt at that time and it was only after the IPL season for Royal Challengers Bangalore came to an end when he visited a doctor.

The neck injury ruled him out of his county stint with Surrey and also put his participation in doubt for the tour of Ireland and England. However, he seems to be fit and has a strong chance of being available for the international fixtures.Kohli is slated to undergo a fitness test on June 15 which will decide whether he will be part of the international series? He was named as the skipper of India in limited-overs series for the tours of Ireland and England with Rohit Sharma being named his deputy.

In case Virat misses a match or two due to fitness issues, Rohit will automatically take place his place as captain. The Indian team will play two T20Is against Ireland on June 27 and 29. Following that, the team will travel to England for a full-fledged series, which will start with three T20Is and three ODIs, which will end on June 17.

After a break of two weeks, a five-match Test series will kick off which will be an ardent task for the Indian team.On personal front as well, Kohli has a big challenge as he failed badly on the previous tour of England where he could just manage 134 runs from 10 innings in five matches at an average of 13.40.
