DMK to begin sale of application forms for Lok Sabha and assembly bye-elections

Chennai : As is the norm with the DMK, this time too the party has begun sale of application forms for candidature to Lok Sabha and 22 assembly constituencies where bye-polls are to be held soon. Each application form will cost Rs 1000 and candidates have to pay a sum of Rs 25000 at the time of submitting the form for consideration.

The party said in a statement that the form will be available at party offices from Monday.

As per the schedule announced by the party, the competed forms must be submitted between March 1 and March 7 at the Chennai party headquarters.

The party will refund the application fee of those applicants who submitted the filled up form along with the prescribed fee for seats that were allocated to alliance partners. There is no such promise for other constituencies.
