Kamal Haasan to host second season of Big Boss in Tamil

Chennai : Filmstar turned politician Kamal Haasan will be hosting the second season of Big Boss in Tamil, after the first season became a runaway hit.

Laced with political messaging with social overtones, the Big Boss hosted by Kamal Haasan was used as a medium to spread his message ahead of taking the political plunge. The Big Boss season 1 was telecast between June 25 and September 30 last year.

Kamal Haasan used the programme to highlight and deal with issues like the NEET, importance of Dravidian politics and related issues. Although Kamal Haasan has launched his own political party, Makkal Neethi Maiyam, sources close to him said that television will continue to add to his messaging power and will help him in politics as well.

The second season of BB will be aired from June and last till September, as per rough deadlines already worked out, film industry sources said.

Kamal Haasan has two pending film projects – Sabhash Naidu and Indian 2, after which he said he will quit acting in films.
