Bus strike inconveniences school and office goers

The strike called for by the TNSTC employees had put people into a lot of hardship as nearly 90 per cent of buses remained off roads. The employees were on strike because their demands of increasing wages and making them permanent employees were not met. The Union members have also decided to organise protests in various places across Coimbatore pressing their demands.
