Car belonging to BJP leader set on fire

An Innova car belonging to C. R. Nanda kumar, BJP District head ,was set on fire by unidentified persons this morning. Simultaneously, a car and two wheeler belonging to a financier whose neighbor is a BJP official was also set on fire.Though this is suspected to be a mistaken identity, the police are conducting enquiries from the angle that these incidents may be a repercussion for the Periyar statue breaking issue.
