Couple washed away by Bhavani floods rescued

With heavy rains in Nilgiris district and Kerala, Bhavani river which originates in Nilgiris and passes through Kerala has been in spate for the past few days. The flooded river was flowing over the bridge in Attapadi area and a couple who were trying to cross the bridge were washed away by the flood and were caught in a tree. Fire service personnel rushed to the spot and rescued them using ropes.
