Elephants damage school at Pannimadai

Wild elephants destroyed a government school in Pannimadai partially. Villagers claim that the wild elephants, which have been straying into the area for quite some time, moved to the school when attempts were made to drive them away into the forest. In a bid to escape from the school premises, the elephants destroyed the school compound walls.
