Farmers associations stage demonstration against RCEP

Farmers associations of Coimbatore jointly staged a demonstration in front of the Coimbatore South Taluk Office, against the proposed RCEP (Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership), which includes 15 countries of the ASEAN. According to the farmers, the free trade pact would severely affect the food and agricultural sector.
