Heavy rain continues in Coimbatore. District records 700mm rains

With the south west monsoon active over Kerala, Coimbatore district neighbouring the state has also been experiencing heavy rains. The district has recorded 700 mm rains. Siruvani dam has reached its full capacity while the Noyyal river is in spate. And, as the water flow is heavy in Kovai Kutralam falls, it had been closed to public until further notice.
