Hundreds protested seeking relocation to a space inside the city

Those who have encroached lakes are now being relocates to tenements by the TN Slum Development Board situated in the outskirts. Nearly 20,000 people have encroached various lakes in the city. The protesters stated that the education of their children and their work was getting affected because of relocating to the outskirts.
