With the south west monsoon in full swing, Kerala has been experiencing heavy rains for the past few days resulting in heavy inflow to the Athirapally Falls. Tourists are thronging to behold this wild beauty of the Athirapally falls in spate. Vehicles are not able to move past as the water from the falls engulfs the surrounding areas. The children squeak in delight as they become drenched from the spray of the falls on their way past it.
