Pillur dam opened. Flood alert issued

Following the heavy rains, Upper Bhavani dam and Avalanche Dam has been opened thus increasing the water flow to the Pillur dam near Mettupalayam. With just three feet to reach its full capacity, water has been released from the dam and consequently flood alert has been issued to the people residing nearby.
