Record summer rains in Coimbatore. Highest in 100 years

The climate research centre in TNAU, Coimbatore has said that the summer rains recorded in Coimbatore in the past 11 days is the highest in 100 years. It has surpassed the usual 130 mm and has reached 268mm till now. The summer rains are expected to continue till the month end.
