Rural priests request for monthly incentives

A council of priests belonging to villages has requested the Tamil Nadu government to provide monthly incentives to rural priests. More than 300 such priests from Coimbatore, Tiruppur and Salem participated in the meeting, which was chaired by Coimbatore district organiser Jagannathan. They also demanded the cancellation of electricity tariffs for temples in the villages.
