Small traders left in the lurch. Promised shops have not materialised – AITUC

Despite the High Court order in 1994 , Coimbatore corporation had failed to construct shops for the 647 small traders who plied their trade on the platforms in Coimbatore. The 125 shops provided were also taken back on the pretext of flyover construction. Though complaints have been registered with the district collector and Corporation Commissioner, no action had been taken till now. Condemning this, AITUC has announced a protest by laying siege to Corporation office.
